Your journal stays on your phone
Cauli is a private training journal. Techniques, rolls, partners, goals, class days, and the notes you write live on the device. The app does not request internet access. We do not run a Cauli account, and we do not keep a cloud copy of your journal.
What we do not collect
Cauli does not run analytics, crash reporters, advertising, or social features. We do not sell data. We cannot read your notes from our side because they are not sent to us.
What the app keeps locally
- Training notes you enter (techniques, rolls, partners, goals).
- Optional profile details (name, gym, belt, schedule).
- Optional class reminders on the device.
- Premium entitlement after a Google Play purchase.
Backups you control
You can export a spreadsheet of the journal. That file is yours. We never receive it. If you import a spreadsheet, it replaces the local journal on that device.
Android device backup or phone-to-phone transfer may copy the local journal with the rest of the phone, if your system settings allow it. That copy goes through your device maker / Google account, not through Cauli servers.
Google Play
Cauli is sold as a subscription through Google Play (premium_monthly and premium_annual). Annual may include a 14-day trial configured in Play; monthly does not. Google processes the payment. Cauli does not see your card. Google’s terms and privacy policy apply to billing. Restore purchases uses your Google account on the device.
If a subscription lapses, notes stay on the phone. You can read, edit existing entries, export, and delete. Creating new techniques, rehearsals, or logs is blocked until you subscribe again.
Notifications
Class reminders are optional. You can deny notification permission and still use the journal. Reminders are scheduled on the device.

Children
Cauli is a training journal for people who practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu. It is not directed at children under 13.
